A recipe is built on one film simulation. If your camera doesn't have it, the recipe won't look right, however carefully you copy the other settings. Here's what each body has, checked on 31 October 2026 against Fujifilm's online manuals and firmware release notes.
Fujifilm sometimes adds simulations by firmware, so update yours first. Every list below assumes current firmware.
X-Trans III
X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20, X-E3, X100F. Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Std, Acros (plus Ye, R and G filters), Monochrome (plus Ye, R and G filters) and Sepia.
X-H1. All of the above, plus Eterna. It's the only X-Trans III body with Eterna.
No X-Trans III body has Classic Negative, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Nostalgic Neg. or Reala Ace, and firmware never added them.
X-Trans IV
X-T3, X-T30. The X-Trans III set plus Eterna. No Classic Negative and no Eterna Bleach Bypass, even on the last firmware.
X-Pro3, X100V. The X-T3 set plus Classic Negative. No Eterna Bleach Bypass.
X-T4, X-S10, X-E4, X-T30 II. The X-T3 set plus Classic Negative and Eterna Bleach Bypass.
No X-Trans IV body has Nostalgic Neg. or Reala Ace.
X-Trans V
Every X-Trans V body has the full set of 20, counting the filter variants: Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, Reala Ace, Pro Neg. Hi, Pro Neg. Std, Classic Negative, Nostalgic Neg., Eterna, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros (plus three filters), Monochrome (plus three filters) and Sepia.
X-H2, X-H2S, X-T5, X-S20. Reala Ace arrived by firmware on 27 June 2024: X-H2 version 5.00, X-H2S 7.00, X-T5 4.00 and X-S20 3.00. On older firmware these bodies have 19.
X100VI, X-T50, X-M5, X-E5. All 20, listed in their manuals.
X-T30 III. All 20 according to Fujifilm's specification page. We haven't checked it against the manual yet.
What about Auto?
Some bodies (the X-S10, X-T30 II, X-S20, X-T50 and X-M5) also list AUTO among their film simulations, which lets the camera pick one for you. It isn't a look of its own, and no recipe uses it.
Bodies not listed
X-Trans I and II cameras and the GFX line aren't covered here yet. We'd rather leave them out than guess. Check the film simulation page in your camera's manual.
If your camera is missing one
Look for a version of the recipe built for your sensor. Many recipes come in versions for different sensor generations for exactly this reason. Swapping simulations yourself rarely works: Classic Chrome isn't a stand-in for Classic Negative, as this comparison shows. On the recipes page you can filter by body or sensor. New to all this?
