In June, Fuji Rumors reported that the X-T6 will launch with an entirely new film simulation. Its source, who isn't named, described the look as having really deep, strong colours. The same report said the top-plate dials will be reworked. On 23 October, Fuji Rumors' summary of X-T6 rumours still listed the new simulation as reliable, and called a leaked "20 film simulations" spec fake.
What we don't know
The name, what film it's based on, and whether older X-Trans V bodies would get it by firmware. Reala Ace reached the X-H2, X-H2S, X-T5 and X-S20 by firmware months after its debut, but Fujifilm hasn't said anything about this one.
What it means for recipes
A new simulation means a new base for recipes, and at first only X-T6 owners could use them. The current line-up is in film simulations by camera.
How sure we are
Unconfirmed: one anonymous source on one site. Treat it as a maybe until Fujifilm shows it.
