The X-T6 didn't launch in September

Fuji Rumors had the X-T6 down for an early September X Summit. In August it said the launch was cancelled; on 4 September Fujifilm announced only the XF400mmF4.5.

For months, the X-T6 was rumoured for an X Summit announcement in early September 2026. On 7 August, Fuji Rumors said, citing several sources, that the September announcement had been cancelled because Fujifilm needed more time on the camera's software. A later post also pointed to component shortages and rising costs.

What happened

On 4 September, Fujifilm announced the XF400mmF4.5 R LM OIS WR lens and no new camera.
