This is a constant F2.8 telephoto zoom for APS-C, sold in Fujifilm X, Sony E and Canon RF mounts. On X it covers about 75-180mm in full-frame terms. It weighs 390g, and it has an aperture ring and optical stabilisation.
The stabilisation figure needs reading closely. Sigma rates it at 6.5 stops at the wide end and 4.5 stops at the long end, where you need it most.

Who it suits
Portrait, event and school-sport photographers who want F2.8 reach in a small bag. The 23cm minimum focus at 50mm also gets you close to details. If you need the extra reach to 140mm, see the comparison with the Fujinon XF50-140mm below.
Cameras it pairs well with
At 390g it balances on small bodies like the X-T50 as well as on the grip of the X-S20. The X-T5 adds 40MP for cropping, and the X-H2S has a stacked sensor for fast subjects. All four also have in-body stabilisation.
Recipe pairings
At this length you mostly shoot people, so these recipes are for skin tones and for low light indoors, where F2.8 earns its place.
Tagged for portraits: Reala Ace with softer highlights and slightly warmer skin.
