Tamron 16-50mm F2.8 for Fujifilm X

A 24-75mm-equivalent F2.8 standard zoom at 305g.

Tamron's Model B091 is a constant F2.8 standard zoom for APS-C. On Fujifilm X it covers the same range as a 24-75mm on full frame, and it weighs 305g. That makes it a one-lens kit for most days: wide enough for a room or a street, long enough for a portrait.

The X version comes last. Sony E and Canon RF were dated 29 October 2026, Nikon Z 19 November 2026 and Fujifilm X 17 December 2026.

We haven't shot with this lens. The figures come from the sources below; the pairings are our judgement from those figures.

Launch date and price

Tamron announced it on 14 October 2026. The Fujifilm X version is dated 17 December 2026. Tamron Japan lists it at ¥116,600 including tax, and the US price is reported as $529. A euro or pound price for the X version is not yet announced.

Who it suits

Anyone who wants one light zoom for travel, family and everyday shooting, and a brighter option than a kit lens. With no stabilisation listed, a body with its own stabilisation is worth having for low light.

Cameras it pairs well with

All four of these have in-body stabilisation, which matters here because Tamron lists none on the lens. The X-T50 and X-E5 keep the kit small, the X-S20 has the deepest grip, and the X-T5 adds dedicated dials.

Recipe pairings

A standard zoom goes everywhere, so these three cover most days: everyday colour, grey weather and black and white.
